But when you join the public - in a restaurant, at work, on the web, in the stands, on TV - you have a responsibility to not pollute our shared society by acting like a jerk. The goal of Civility Please is to encourage mutual respect and common courtesy, so we can all enjoy a more civil society. That doesn’t mean we should stop disagreeing with each other.
